Board of Appeals
The Building Code Board of Appeals shall hear appeals from decisions of the Building Code and Fire Inspection Officials: 1. Regarding the interpretation of all standards adopted under Chapters 5 & 6 of the Claremont City Code; and 2. Related to the rehabilitation or renovation of an existing building or other structure. Additionally, determinations by the building code board of appeals shall take into account considerations of life safety protection as set forth in the Claremont City Code and state law regulation.
Members shall be qualified by experience and training to rule on matters pertaining to building construction in one or more of the following fields: Architecture, engineering, coonstruction, mechanical, plumbing, or electrical.
Term: 3 Years
